Professional Education and Background:
Laura Andrich (she/her) is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in both Washington and Colorado state. Laura received her Masters in Social Work from the University of Denver, with a certificate in Animal-Assisted Therapy. Laura has formal training in the treatment of Anxiety disorders, including Inferential-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (i-CBT) and Exposure response therapy (ERP), that she incorporates into her practice.
Laura has worked with adolescents and adults for the past 10 years. She has provided mental health therapy and case management in corrections, public school settings, behavioral treatment programs, and private practice. Laura has recently opened her practice in Bellingham, where she is specializing in (but not restricted to) treating Anxiety Disorders and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
As a therapist, Laura recognizes the isolation and debilitation that comes with experiencing a mental illness. At the heart of her practice, she aims to acknowledge, validate, and advocate for the experiences of her clients. Additionally, she strives to reduce barriers to therapy for her community.
Personal life:
Laura is a WA native, born and raised, who has always dreamed of opening a private practice here. She has recently moved back to the Northwest from Colorado, where she worked in private practice and as a school-based therapist. When she does not have her “therapist” hat on, Laura enjoys hiking, skiing, eating seafood, and hanging with her dog. She also enjoys musical theater and attending local concerts.
